The Standish Group’s "The Trends in Green Computing" report looks at the trends and drivers causing the rise of green computing and the role users and vendors play in the movement today. The research project was conducted with the assistance of non-profit Green Computing Impact Organization (GCIO).

"Government mandates, the pressing needs for more space and more power, and a more enlightened IT community are just some of the trends the research uncovered."
"The Trends in Green Computing" report is a starting point to be able to measure the progress of this important movement. For example, the latest Standish DARTS (Demand Assessment Requirements Tracking Survey) shows only about 2% of organizations are well along with optimizing their computer environment for the protection of our ecosystem.
