James H. Johnson, Chairman,
The Standish Group
Mr. James (Jim) H. Johnson is the founder and chairman of The
Standish Group. He has been professionally involved in the computer
industry for over 30 years and has a long list of published papers,
articles and speeches. He has a combination of technical, marketing,
and research achievements focused on mission-critical applications
and technology. He is best known for his research on transactional
middleware, as well as project and system failures. Jim is a pioneer
of modern research techniques and continues to advance in the
research industry through virtual focus groups and case-based
analytical technology.

Karen D. Larkowski, Executive Vice
President
Ms. Larkowski is currently Executive Vice President of The Standish
Group and has been at The Standish Group for over a decade. In
that time she has written numerous books, white papers and articles
focused on many facets of the computer industry. She has also
held multiple advisory sessions with both vendor and end-user
clients and offers daily advice on key technology decisions.
Ms. Larkowski is the author of "Essential Guide to Object
Monitors" published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Dr. Sidnie M. Feit, Chief Scientist
With over 30 years experience, Dr. Feit is a system architect,
designer, lecturer and published author with specialized knowledge
of communications networks. She is experienced in technology evaluation,
product review, competitive analysis, product launch, and service
launch. Prior to joining The Standish Group, Dr. Feit was a member
of ITT's system design and architecture group, where she participated
in planning an international network, developed an e-mail gateway,
and evaluated products. Dr. Feit holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics
from Cornell University. She is the author of books on topics
including TCP/IP, network management, local area networks, and
wide area networks, and is working on a comprehensive reference
book on high speed local, metro, and wide area networks.
